The honey we produce is raw, untreated and unfiltered wildflower honey from our hives in the depths of the Oxfordshire countryside. Honeybees must gather nectar from roughly two million flowers to make just one pound of honey. That’s around 90,000 bee miles (three trips around the globe). Over the course of its lifetime the average honeybee will make only one twelfth of a teaspoon of honey making a jar of the golden stuff even more precious! Raw honey has added benefits including: // Bee pollen - an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. // Bee propolis - a resinous mixture which not only acts as a glue and a sealant within the hive but also has a medicinal use owing to its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, antimycotic, antifungal, antiulcer, anticancer, and immunomodulatory properties. // A whole lot of enzymes, amino acids, vitamins and minerals.
